Technical levels are written with care and are limited in range. Tempo is the biggest challenge. The melodic material is not difficult in terms of leaps or rhythmic surprises. Basic quarters, eights, patterns with two sixteen's followed by an eighth note, and sixteenth note runs, generally for a single count. Composer Todd Aarons uses his experience with students to produce this composition.
